The Safety Technical Standard for Portal Steel Pipe Scaffolding in Construction JGJ/T 128-2019 is an industry safety technical standard developed in the field of Chinese construction engineering for the safe installation, use, and dismantling of portal steel pipe scaffolding (also known as “frame scaffolding” or “portal frame”).
It came into effect on January 1, 2020, replacing the original standard JGJ 128-2000.
This standard aims to standardize the safety technical requirements for the entire process of material requirements, structural design, erection operation, inspection and acceptance, usage management, and dismantling operations of portal steel pipe scaffolding during construction.
It effectively prevents accidents such as scaffold collapse, falling from heights, and object strikes, ensuring the safety of construction personnel and the smooth progress of the project.
