TBM reached the highest record of 55m in a single day and 843.91m in a single month, far exceeding the original goal of “20 meters for 30 meters” in a single day and 500m in a single month, creating the highest single day and single month tunneling records for TBM projects in the province and TBM projects with the same cross section size in China.

The tunnel entrance section 0.3km and exit section 0.2km are constructed by drilling and blasting method.

The tunnel connection relieves the major engineering risks of the project and accumulates valuable experience for the company to develop similar engineering construction organization.

After the installation and commissioning of Lianshan Dejian No.1 TBM host machine in the tunnel, it will start from November 5, 2021 and be officially connected on December 20, 2022, with a total time of 410 days.

The middle section 7.0km is constructed by open full face hard rock tunneling machine (TBM for short), which is the first time that the company has adopted TBM construction technology in Qingyuan.

on December 20, at the site of the Dejian Reservoir Water Supply Project in Lianshan County, with the roar of the cutter head, the first TBM of the company, “Lianshan Dejian No.1”, broke through the rock and came out of the hole smoothly, marking the smooth connection of the water conveyance tunnel of Lianshan Dejian Water Supply Project.

In order to ensure the safe and smooth underground passage of TBM through the Longshui River and the two fracture zones, the Project Department carefully listened to the guidance and suggestions of the Chief Engineer’s Office, the Technical Center, the Security Department, the Engineering Department and other departments of the head office and the participating parties, invited relevant provincial geological experts to hold a consultation meeting, and actively adopted advanced geological prediction, BIM modeling, GIS modeling and other technologies to efficiently complete the anti-seepage and reinforcement treatment of the Longshui River riverbed and the support and reinforcement after passing through the fracture zones, It effectively avoids mud inrush, water gushing, collapse and other accidents.
